yes he is still alive. someone started a rumor that he is dead. i just saw him in concert yesterday.

I think he did some performances with Olivia Newton-Jon back in the 1970's, but he would have been great singing duets with Yvonne Elliman-also popular back then. Very gentle, soothing voices.

Unfortunately no, like most of the greats he died in a plane crash. There is a great 4 CD box set out though.

Sorry, he died 12 years ago when a small experimental plane he was flying crashed off the coast of Monterey, California.
