On May 1st of 2006, latino young people confronted/resisted the LAPD. The police presumably wanted to clear the streets. The kids didn't want to leave.

Why'd the cops kick them out, they did Nothing Wrong. They were celebrating their heritage, and as an Actual 3rd gen Chicano I'm surprised you posers are calling them idiots. That's exactly my point, why do we have a society here in L.A. were cops do that shit? These types of tactics and attitudes are what led to what happened the following year in L.A. where the police shot rubber bullets into crowds. Why do we have a society where inhumane conditions exist in jail and prisoner's rights are violated, where different races are pitted against each other for survival, then, the tensions and violence spill over into society?
