I've never seen one of these before! I heard these were banned from demolition derbys because they would kill everything. The car had a lot of metal to crush, and the big 440 would run for a long time without coolant after the radiator got smashed!

progressives tend to lean toward the left, like the liberals

@ImForwardlook ... and are you really naive enough to think that cars today would even have seat belts in them if "left wing politicians" and "big-government progressives" hadn't held a shotgun to the automakers' heads?
i could agree with you if corporate america would "do the right thing" without being told, but the sad fact is they have proven time and again that they won't. period.
end of argument.

salem...is that where the movie salems lot was made...? will you throw in a a vampire in the boot if it is... :)

1973 would have been the last year before the government mandated detuning engines to decrease emissions.

@ImForwardlook Nice try, but the exact OPPOSITE of what you stated is what has happened thanks to the Fascist, Laissez-faire policies of Reagan and every president since including Clinton, who signed the American job-killing NAFTA into law. And these are what are "killing the western world as we know it.," not big government. It's the LACK of gov. restrictions that has killed the middle class. You should keep your politics to yourself in automotive videos. You just opened up a can of worms.

@73849309378 Pardon? Government restrictions and huge government programs by the "progressives" are killing the western world as we know it. A big government never leads to anything good as is now being witnessed in the US. Stupid people are mislead by the politicians for more and more handouts which can never be financed. The hole becomes deeper and deeper and so far the solution is massive amounts of the same. Where did free the market system go? Individual freedom? Or common sense?
What a gorgeous New Yorker, love the 1972 and 73 taillights! I wish we could turn back the clock to a time when gorgeous cars were designed in Highland Park and Detroit wasn't yet killed by left wing politicians. Whatever happens though, Chrysler cars will always be number 1 in the world. Amazing designs, amazing engineering!
