  • Lovely stuff. I like this sort of music and I also like these types of ladies. Natural Earth mothers. The sort of ladies who, when giving birth, would simply squat over a puddle in the corner of a muddy field and push and yell until done!

  • @CelticReject Thanks for the compliment. Funny that you comment on our natural-ness... with both of us dressed up and wearing make-up for this indoor video. Glad our strength shines thru.

  • what pitches do you tune your bouzouki to? Thanks so much for your help in advance. I'm an aspiring Irish bard. :) btw, very nice job. lovely Gaelic voice.

  • @WarrnanTheSavage Thanks! GDAD Best wishes to you!!!

  • where can i find sheet music for the vocals?

  • @MrGoRaVeNs You can find the song in Singing In Irish Gaelic by Mary McLaughlin. This book comes with a CD to help with pronunciation, translations, etc. It's fabulous for non-Irish-speakers. There is another traditional song book out there for more advanced students or speakers of Irish... full of songs and lyrics, no CD, no translations. If you want to know more about that, I'll run out and fetch my copy to tell you more :-)

  • Man, crazy, talk about a long buried memory. Hearing this i just remembered my irish granny singing this to me when i was a lad, she died when i was about 2 or three.

  • @AbigailGreen Seriusly though I really did enjoy the music. Very nice indeed. I'd love to get me a celtic instrument. Celtic by name ...
