Soul Makosa stil remains soul Makosa. I first heard d song exactly 40 years ago still very much a kid then but enjoyed how my seniors danced to it at parties which we the youngers were just contended to sit and watch them display dancing steps in vogue then.It is still this soul makosa that a well known musician in the U.S. was taught d lesson of his life and was made 2 pay heavily 4 his disregard 4 copyright laws and made this Cameroonian legend rich overnight. Some 74 persons don't have soul.

well! he tried to steal from Manu Dibango.... fortunately, someone realized he borrowed a whole beat from M Dibango. That was before the first law suits about sampling etc so he finally stroke a deal with Manu. but first he didn't ask anything to th eartist or the label.....

My roommate in college had an EP with a version of this song on it that was incredible, it's the reason I remembered this song. Wish I could find that LP or taped copy of it. Round about the same time I got turned onto Afrikaa Bambataa and their "Time Zone" cut.

I use to go to a beach bar in fort lauderdale called the riptide and even though it was damn near all white, this song was worn out on the juke box. it got to be when the song was played everyone would stop what they were doing and everyone would get up dance...didn't matter who or what age.
it was so damn cool.
