Canonization of Father Damian

1) The event "Fiere Dijle" is a water parade on the river Dijle in Belgium (October 2,3 2009). The river Dijle makes the natural link between the tomb of Father Damian in the city of Leuven and his birth place in Tremelo. The core of the event is a combination of remote controlled high tech boats containing miniature scenes out of the live of Father Damian, and thousands of floating lanterns and led's.

2) "Fiere Dijle" is overall a family and reflection event, but it will also present, on a playful way, new micro and telecom technology towards the public, education and the industry.
