163 04/ RUNNING
First we build architecture then architecture builds us
During the spring of 2009 students from Tensta High School, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, the School of Architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology and Södertörn University will investigate possibilities and limitations of architecture. The Project begins with home furnishing, then moves to the house itself, the block, the neighborhood, the city, the nation and ends with the world.
Architecture often takes abstract models as a starting point for what eventually becomes buildings. This methodology emphasize the virtual over the real. The aim for 163 04/ Production of Architecture is to define alternative methods, that start with the things around us, to interact and activate private and public spaces in Tensta and the rest of the world. The project uses photography, coca-cola light, video, drawing, fireworks, texts, walks, barbecues, torches and a whole host of other materials. At the end of May all materials will be put together in an exhibition produced by the participants.
