Boogiest band in town
Words and music- (Phil Coulter/Bill Martin)
You ain't been around if you ain't been to hear them
The boogiest in town
You just hear the sound and you want to be near them
The boogiest in town
Step right up with a dollar in your hand
Lay your money down
Sit right back and get ready for the band
The boogiest band in town
Snap your fingers and tap your feet
and listen to the boogie beat
They go one two three four
boogie down some more
Boy they're really makin' it nobody's fakin' it now
and when you hear them go five six seven eight
You can hardly wait
Boy they're really socking it everybody's rockin' it now
They're layin it down, the boogiest band in town
Gather 'round for the boogiest band in town
Boogie!
When the play they can really rock it
the boogiest band in town
Good old rock n roll don't nobody knock it!
the boogiest band in town
Roll up roll up for the latest sensation
the boogiest band in town
Gather 'round gather 'round it's an education
the boogiest band in town
Red hot licks and funky stuff
they can really play it rough
They go one two three four
boogie down some more
Boy they're really makin' it, nobody's fakin' it now
and when you hear them go five six seven eight
You can hardly wait
Boy they're really socking it everybody's rockin' it now
They're layin' it down, the boogiest band in town
Gather around for the boogiest band in town!

The way they wear the shirt collars outside the jacket is soooo seventies! I love the black and white (velvet?) suits.

This is also on youtube by the band Slik. Both the Arrows and Slik versions were produced by Phil Coulter.

@wexiflex Right, in fact Slik recorded it first in 1975. Arrows in 1976.
