It's a shame the Australian Democrats lost all their seats this year. They easily work with both major parties.
-
The Democrats are a bunch of left-wing libertarians. I'd vote for Fred Nile over them any day.

Now that there no democrats in the senate it's going to fuck things up big time

Such bullshit.
-
its a sad day when australia will lose a progressive voice in the senate which they have had since 1977. i think the greens are way too extreme!!! but with that said... with the democrats falling apart its the only progressive voice left in the senate as we all know that the ALP are sooo right wing these days

The Greens are funded in no small way by unions. They are so pro-union they make Labor look like Liberals.
The Greens are like communists -they will oppose any organisation or person who is doing well, be it the wealthy, big business or even the worlds only super power -the US. Vote Green and watch business stifle, unions run rampant, and say goodby to ANZUS.
Bring Back Balance -Vote Democrats #1 in the Senate.

Hmmm Noah it seems that you didn't look very well, the Australian Democrats website has a strong policy of Women's Issues (just click on the button that says issues and it will be there).
-
The Democrats do have policy on these issues, just not the resources to update the website at this time.
The last time I saw Christine Milne interviewed she had plenty of policy with huge aspirations ,but none of which had been modelled or costed.
The question I ask is why are you even talking about The Greens, there is no mention to them whatsoever in this clip.

The 6th issue in this ad is about accountability. Again it shows The Greens struggling to fit into the triangle, but hey, The Greens DO have a policies on accountability.
-
The 4th issue in this ad is about the economy and it shows The Greens struggling to fit into the triangle. Whilst The Greens have an economic policy, I could not find the Democrats economic policy on their website.
-
The 2nd issue in this ad is about Women's Issues and it shows The Greens struggling to fit into the triangle. Well, where is the Democrats policy on Women? I couldn't find it anywhere on the Democrats website. The Greens actually do have a policy for Women.
I would vote Democrats in the Senate for Victoria as they represent the Libertarian, Centrist view, however I do not want to see my vote sent to Family First again, so it'll Labor for me

No one can direct your preferences if you vote below the line like I do.

In a federal election, it's compulsory to distribute preferences. Otherwise your vote is not counted. As far as I know, the greens are preferencing the Demmies ahead of Lib and Lab because their policies are much better.

So you explain away Greens providing preferences to anti-environment Labor and Libs as "it's compulsory to distribute preferences". Labor has been responsible for millions of more trees cut down than Family First, yet Greens'll do a deal with Labor above FF. How's that sit with you?
My point is you can't hang a party for pref deals because the fact is it's compulsory to do deals!!!
Besides, since you want "a good person" elected, it's *immoral* to *not* do the best deal to get them elected.

Labor and Liberal are causing more damage than ever, and your response is to have a go at the Greens, and a completely unjustifiable attack it is at that. Go to greens dot org dot au for Greens policies on a wide range of issues, then think about how the Demmies in NSW were so desperate for votes at the last federal election that they preferenced Family First and Fred Nile's Christian Bigots ahead of the Greens. It's no wonder the Demmies are plunging headlong into oblivion.

If Liberals and Labor are doing so much damage, then why are the Greens preferencing them?
