PS3 green screen

I call this the green screen because well the video shows it all. It's no black screen thats for sure. And i already attempted the System Restore by doing that power button thingy and the fan test and none of them seem to work, plus my ps3 controller doesn't respond either.

So if anybody know what this is, give me a holla peoples. . . .

Sorry to stop the commenting everyone....After awhile the main issue was the GPU (Graphic Processing Unit). The system is totally fried, even when fixing at a local shop the problem still persist within several months so getting it repaired constantly isn't worth it. I've gathered a lot of information based on the people who comment this video, and I did extensive research based on that.

I like to thank everyone on commenting this video and I apologize if no further help was included.

my ps3 has started giving me weird graphical lines going up into the sky, sometimes it freezes mid game or freezes while it loads. i got the 80 gig backwards compatible metal geal solid ps3 system. most notable problems occur when i play, oblivion, fallout 3 and GTA 4. also if your not A fragger, lag switcher or turbo user on GTA 4 add me if ya want a challenge. jus put youtube challenger in a message. i play fair and square and dont talk shit. just friend request : Da_wrath_Of_Odd

@ODDNOMAD Yeah I notice that the ps3's with the backwards compatible always suffer with this kind of issue because many people who come up to me with their ps3 with BC had the "green screen.." I'm growing suspicious of Sony lately. Anyways it's possible that the motherboard is really screwed up, perhaps your console could be a total defect. Most first release ps3's and Xbox360 have those kind of problems. I suggest go to your local electronic store since they'll fix it at a cheaper price.

@ODDNOMAD remove the power supply in the ps3 and blue ray drive and there are two screws loosen plaque trohe and check if works or tighten the ps3 if ps3 still does not work

All you have to do is replace the hard drive. its not the ps3, its the hard drive
