Not only can the ashes be used for making concrete bricks, incineration can reduce volume of garbage by over 90% and the heat generated can be used for electricity generation. Unfortunately, HK has got no incineration for city garbage. Our trash are buried in landfills, contrary to what most of the big cities are doing.
While we should try our best to reduce waste, maybe it's time to modernize our way of treating our rubbish!
