I was lucky to see UFO on the no place to run tour, Paul was so good, reminded me of Mick jones, really melodic, deep tones and a quiet craftsman, I hope he doesn't go the way of many, boozer up and lost, he deserves better!...Rock On!
Get UFO's-No Place To Run, CD. It's produced by Sir George Martin (the 5th Beatle). Paul plays some sweet licks on that album, and every song is great. A very underrated record.
check out their my space...paul chapman project... most of the band is from chicago, and those guys are in local bands,,, go check them out... they rock..especially madhatter
Chapman played with UFO and Schenker in the mid 1970s, between the Lonestar stuff I believe, not sure about that Chicago gig, but it is spliced from probably three different performances
Schenker has often said tone and feedback from his backline is what inspires and drives him. I've not heard Chapman comment on his sound, but I've never been turned off by it, each player has his own sound, and I think Chapman filled the vacancy with ease
There should CERTAINLY be more recent Paul Chapman on YT if this is a year old and I've been neglecting it. UFO is headed to my home town in October 2009!!!
drummer broke all his skins and they were replacing them at the time

Schenker and Chapman are on somewhat equal footing in the respect department, few people really pick sides, they appreciate both, as I do!
