i saw your note and think its just awful that many wiccans have decided to Now<< become just as "holier than thou" and "almost scientifically correct" which is absurd . the Craft is as abstract as hell and no one, abosultley no one, has the better end of the knowledge, after being a witch for almost 2 decades and having had very lineage born teachers/mentors, they NEVER spoke like this .. please continue to do your videos and fuck everyone else... Blessed Be-Raymond

@kahetel13 Since when are pagan religions about the Craft? Some people have no wish to work magic at all. Some people are more interested in honoring their tribal Gods, continuing their folkways, edifying the ancestors and marking the seasonal changes. That doesn't necessarily involve "the Craft."

@GAEAvideo Paganism is not just one religion, with an orthodoxy of diversity.

Great job on the video! Its sad that you had to make the beginning statement. No one has any right to judge your version of spiritual truth. If this was my video, then I would remove the beginning statement, b/c you do not owe any explanation to anyone! If they do not like the content of your video, then they can stop watching it. One of the important aspects of Paganism is its diversity of expression whether you are Asatru, Druid, Witch, Wizard or Wiccan. Keep expressing your beautiful self!

Actually the sun does not move for three days 22nd, 23rd and 24th. On the 25th the sun moves one degree south. Verified by the naval observatory.

Ahh, the original Winter Holiday, stolen and maimed by the hate-filled christians and their claims of an event that clearly takes place during the spring/summer months according to their book happened when deep snow and icy breezes that drive Shepherds from the fields and around fire places filled the air.

@arrington77 then why jeus freak did u look it up nobody has a right to juge anyone so go read holy book
Since there is a big debate about the correct information about the video on the holiday of Yule, I will redue the video and actually take the time to research a lot more, and use more Norse sources. I do apologize for taking the lazier route to make this one video.

It may take me awhile though, because I'm usually quite busy during this time of year.

I wish people would get their facts straight =\ Yule is a 12-day (or 8 days, depending on which region one lived in) holiday, which began celebrating Odin's wife and all mothers (it was called Mother's Night). Though Winter Solstice happened during this holiday, it wasn't centered completely on it.
The Norse/Germanic holidays were about their gods, their ancestors, and themselves; not this neo-pagan nature stuff.
And please, don't take it upon yourself to define things for the masses.

Please remember to keep an open mind. No-one has their facts and information straight, especially with historicle aspects; not all information is recorded or passed on in a nuetral, factual manner. Furthermore, recieving information is interpreted and understood differently by each and every individual which in turn may not be expressed in an ideal way.

well, you've got one thing right there; history insofar as the old ways are concerned are very difficult to portray accurately. Many of the crusades conducted by the catholic church last millennium were centered on obliterating the old ways. It wasn't until recently that people tried to reconstruct them based on old stories and traditions that were rooted in pagan legend. The few religions that remained untouched, mostly, were those of the Norse. They refused to abandon everything.

I can't blame them. I mean they were probablly petrafied of what might happen if they were caught even discussing the old ways. I haven't looked much into Norse practices, but they seem interesting.
