Dilbert, is that you?

guys, this is a development kit. it is for testing software on the chip during development of a system. you use it to make a prototype and then design your own board based on your exact needs. a normal application would probably not use that actual board but a much smaller slimmed down version developed specifically to do a task. seeing as how this has video and audio and plenty of inputs, this board could help to develop a video game or a cash register or a vending machine or anything really

@card1100 go read the definition of "embedded system". this is not for a desktop computer.

In fact they can create motherboard smaller. Look at Intel Atom... There are a heap of free space around it! Or they can easily put 2-4 processors here. It can bee cool platform - 4 running application in ONE time.

I this computer is for DVR systems. It costs a lot of money to run a DVR system with power hungery processors. Instead of using 400-500 watt computer system, you can use a computer that uses 40-50 watts. If you leave a computer on 24/7, it is ideal. It would be ideal for a server, or a DVR survaillance computer.
