Xecuter Coolrunner chip installed on my Jasper 256MB CB6750

This will bypass any AP2.5 challenges. Although LT+3.0 will do the same, having RGH on your xbox will enable you to run unsigned code. What does that mean? You'll be able to install DLC, run emulators (for example, play Nintendo, Genesis games, etc), and much more.

Any Tips on Soldering the Phat QSB to the STBY_CLK Point

i swear that is the only point i cant get the QSB to solder to :(

  • @Kr4K4J4Ck

Yes, have a very nice, clean, and tinned tip. Aside from that, add flux to the point with a toothpick and tin it. Use an optivisor if you have to. Cut the tail of the wire so that you only have a bit of the wire exposed, tin that piece of the wire, hold the wire to the point, (tin the tip) and apply heat.. done :) good luck!

  • Nice soldering. :)

  • @XJonnyGunsX

Thanks. My mom is an elec. engineer and she taught me how to solder when I was a kid. Im really anal about soldering and having no flux burn at all, if it is not done perfect I remove the soldering and do it again. You wont see me applying flux with an old sock (LOL) and my tips are always perfectly clean after every job, im a neat freak. I removed the hot-glue and used kapton tape to hold down the wires :)

see all

  • @idjr83 Thanks for the help man but that's fore the wire ;) im wondering about the QSB because i have both soldered on just cant get this last point:(

  • @foolmoi

Ah I see. If you were from the Chicago area i would RGH your xbox for free. I think it is best to learn to ins and out yourself cos many pepole even those that do RGH dont really understand the programming involved ( i do) and can generally fix any problem without downgrading to any dashboard, dash launch, or FSD. But anyway, good luck!

  • @idjr83 im from washington. my xbox is being shipped to get modded. Its a phat falcon model. i gotta say im kinda worried because i dont know much about an rgh xbox yet.

  • @foolmoi

what kind of system do you have (Slim or phat) and where are you located?

  • @idjr83 thanks for the reply. im getting my 360 rgh soon, and so far its been terrible to find answers for a noob like me.

  • @foolmoi

Absolutely. The patch is applied with 2 diff software that I know of (you use the one you like best). Some apply the contpatch in the ini file of dash launch, however this is not advised. Bottom line, yes you can play DLC and XBL Arcade games on a RGH xbox.

  • How can you install dlc on a RGH xbox? also how can you patch games?

  • @ModzVonXyborg

hi. Yeah i moved the blue wire a while back, just never updated the video. I also removed the hot glue with some rubbing alcohol and replaced it with kapton tape. The install looks way cleaner and professional this way.

  • move that blue wire away from the caps, the interference can cause alot of boot failure or glitch failure

  • @NickTheGC

Continued If you have no on board memory then you have a 16MB System, 256 (but more like 212), you have a 256, and for 512 you'll have about 400-ish megabytes of on board memory.

    Good luck!

  • @NickTheGC

Hi Nick. Coolshrimp's tool is pretty neat, but I recommend that you use 360 Multibuilder to creat your ecc image and also your glitch image.

To find out what kind of Jasper you have, turn on your system and go to Settings, Memory, and look at how much internal memory (on board memory) you have (not HDD memory, just internal).

  • @getale

Go to the team Xecuter website (do a google search), go to Forums> Xecuter Cool runner support> Xecuter Coolrunner Installation Guides> and look for the thread titled:

Which motherboard do you have and can Coolrunner work on it? (Noob Friendly)

  • Hey there :) I am using a cool runner and matrix NAND flasher on my Jasper. I have it all wired up and I was using coolshrimps jtag toolbox (or whatever it's called) and it asks me whether the xbox has 16mb, 254mb or 514mb (forgot the numbers lol) of internal memory. How can I tell (I'm on metto dash) which amount of NAND I have? plz reply :)

  • It will work with any xbox 360?

  • @scottycd

something you should know when doing this. If you are going to do a wire install WITHOUT the QSB, tin the point where the wire will be installed. If you are going to do a QSB install, add flux to the point where your QSB will be soldered and add flux to the pad of the QSB (but do not tin the point). If you do a QSB install and tin the point, say on J1D2, the QSB might be raised due to the tinning of the points. Hope this makes sense.

  • @scottycd

soldering a few times will help for sure.... but you need to know how to/how much flux to use, tinning the points and your tip, etc. It is so easy to mess up. PLL_Bypass is a bitch to solder if you re not experienced (as the point is tiny and can easily be bridged). Confidence is very important. Practice and see how you do, if at any point you are unsure of what you are doing or things are not coming out correctly, get some help.

  • do u think someone whos only soldered a few times just practicing could do the soldering for the coolrunner becaue i have very little soldering experience but want to do this

  • @JacobCain86

    LOL yup!

  • jasper... whoohoo

  • @rebels3910
