Actually another unit worked just fine, albeit just as slowly.

no i dont think its that. the card was probably made good but the drivers are crap. like my laptops ati rage i was usin ati's drivers and it was crap like this then i used some drivers off the dell site and now it works perfect (the laptop isnt a dell) i guess even dell can make better drivers somtimes xD
