Big Shamus, Little Shamus was a detective drama in which father (Brian Dennehy) and son (Doug McKeon) policed Atlantic City's casinos. Only one pilot and nine episodes aired on CBS in 1979 before it was cancelled.
I grew up in Atlantic City and I remember being really excited about this TV show being filmed in our town. In fact they shot a scene in my grandfather's restaurant on the boardwalk. So I couldn't wait to watch it.
And then it was abruptly canceled if I remember correctly. I was only 8 or 9 years old.

Oh, I used to watch and enjoy this in Barbados! (Theme by the greatest TV theme writing team ever, Mike Post and Pete Carpenter!)

What was a kid doing in an Atlantic City casino? Kids don't belong there.
