Strife MUGEN Protoman #14: Megaman Plus

In my little search for a decent Megaman and Roll to compliment ol' Protoman, I ran across... this.

I think this is the Megaman version of ihoo's Iori, and I don't say that lightly. In fact, he might even be a little worse.

For one, unless you actually go into his def file and remove it, he actually GAINS energy during a fight. And quickly. I could've turned it off, since it's mentioned in the thread where I found him how to... but I figured it'd be best to just take him on as is. And he has 1500 life unadjusted as well. I thought it was just a high defense (which is actually 105), until I looked in his CNS file. I left those alone too.

Two, his specials are insanely overpowered. I don't remember if it's the same in MvC, but other than a brief moment before merging, Mega is invincible during his Rush Drill. And he's also invincible during the Tornado Buster... fun. The Beat Plane does ~360 damage if not blocked, and Hyper Megaman does ~700 if you just get caught in the edges of the beam AND IT ONLY USES ONE BAR OF ENERGY. Yeah, I didn't want to see what happens if you get caught in the entire attack, but I'm pretty sure it's something close to an OHKO.

Three, he apparently picked up a few new tricks. One seems to be that he ATE MvC's Magneto and stole two of his abilities. That and he has an across-screen charge that does almost 200 damage, and it's pretty fast. I'm surprised I blocked it in that first round.

His AI will chain his specials together, most notably a Beat Plane followed by a Rush Drill. And he likes to try to throw a Hyper Megaman into his air combo, which always seemed to fail miserably against me. Oh, and he likes to taunt you, so I took advantage of THAT like fighting Goro back in the original Mortal Kombat.

The ONLY redeeming features this little blue blasphemy has is that his entrances are entertaining and he's very... happy when he wins. You see that little thing at the end of his victory in round two. He does that EVERY TIME. Apparently winning one round means he SAVED DA WURLD.

And, yes, I did juggle him with buster shots. It surprised me as well. More so by the fact I managed to pull it off TWICE. I should probably feel more bad about it, but this little bugger was definitely deserving it.

OH! And new lifebars!
These are made based off the ones used in the Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat flash series. My only gripe with them is that your energy bar is in bubbles, so you can't tell how close you are to reaching a level of energy. Other than that, they're really snazzy.

You can get a normal version of it from Galbadia Hotel. The version I used for this fight is from a Japanese group called Live House S.S.H. Googling that name should get you their site, where you can get it. =D

I have this Megaman

and yes, his hypers (especially his Hyper Megaman) are insanely overpowered.
