Sam from Corridor Digital contacted me through Twitter/Email and we were discussing how he was going to incorporate Trapcode Form into his upcoming video as a visual effect rather than motion graphics. A few days after the video launch, I was requested by many to do a tutorial over the lasers and Sam was gracious enough to send me a few assets including still frames of the shot!

@cardfreakable Use the Displacement Map effect to drive displacement. If you need a more in depth look at this effect, check out my Heat Waves tutorial.

hey i have followed every step in this but why do my strings always look so pixilated and thin i dont know how to change this i have tryed messing with the density but it dosent end up right

@cardfreakable Maybe you set your AE resolution to half. Form is pretty heavy on the render.
