I'm not Orthodox, but I must admit: your art is still the best among the Christian churches.

I love it so much! In Poland Christmas carol is "kolęda" - somehow similar to 'kolyada'. ;)

What is a kolyadka? this one is incredibly beautiful.

It is the Russian version of a "Christmas carol". They are sung all over the space of the old Russian empire. In short, they are the common patrimony of all Russians.

What a beautiful voice! Is that a boy tenor? At first I thought it must be a woman, but if it's from a seminary.......

It is a mixed choir, for seminaries in Russia have female departments that train choir directors, church workers, and theologians. The only thing closed to women to women in our Church is the priesthood and episcopate. I, for one, do not find this discriminatory. Men and women have different gifts, that is all.
Thank you, Mr Humphreys. I extend to you early greetings on Orthodox Easter. I shall be busy, so I probably shan't have a chance to get back to this for some time. May God bless.
