  • cest quelle dump ke ta monter?

  • I thought atmospheric BOV were bad for GTIs because your introducing an air leak for the motor, I made my BOV atmospheric and noticed my GTI was acting a little weird, so I swapped back to reciprocating and she ran fine again... Let me know WTF is going on lmao.

  • @MrHynzie

    Thanks.

"GTI" is derived from Italian 'Gran Turismo Iniezione'.

Since a Golf GTI is a GERMAN automobile, the loanword is from German and Italian languages:

    [G] RAN

    [T] URISMO

    [I] NJEKTION

The "T" from "GTI" has NEVER meant Turbo.

The "T" from "1.8 T" is invariable from Turbo, since there IS also a 1.8 NA.

  • @flurry its grand touring not grand turismo

  • @gbbrtje retard

  • ok any1 no wat gsi stands for?

  • no there is 2.0 non turbo.. and also 1.8 20v non turbo.... and gti stands for .. grand touring injection .. not turbo injection ;-)..

  • @maikyjoe only mk3 started the 1.8t bruh

  • MkI, MkII and MkIII GTIs did NOT had a turbo engine. Most were 16-valve 4-cylinders and 12-valve narrow-angle V6s.

    The MkIV had a 20-valve 1.8 Turbo 4-cylinder.

The MkV and MkVI have 16-valve 2.0 Turbo Direct Injection 4-cylinder.

  • GTI stands for Grand Turismo (I)njected.

The namesake was first used in 1976 and back then fuel injection was a big deal, even more for an small economy hatch.

Only after the MKIV (2000) does the GTI gets a Turbo engine (the turbodiesel is NOT a GTI)

The GTI signifies a Golf with Grand Touring capabilities without AWD.
