  • if you want some parts too look like rivets (ie on the buffer beam or something similair) use rounded allen head bolts then fill the allen head once youve done with filler then use a bit of emery paper to round it off, once painted you wont notice the difference. I had a freind thats refurbing a burrell and has used this method. the only thing is if you want to take it out you need to get a scribe and slowly chipp it out!! unfotunately a painstaking process.

  • @nickmiduck

yes thats a good iea, i didnt think of that.

I was told you can buy 0B dome head bolts, and you hacksaw a slot on the back so you can get a flat head screwdriver to hold it, then use a spanner to tighten up.

    thanks for the tip!

  • @andyg3 that seems like a lengthy process considering theres about twenty/twenty five just on the buffer beam alone!!. It would be nice too see your progress through to running it and i dont know where you are but i bel;ong to a club in bedford and itd be nice to see it run up their one day!?

  • @nickmiduck youde get there eventually!

I shall post another video when it reaches a decent stage, in the meantime, small updates i put up on my website.

I am in Guildford, so bedfords probably only a couple of hours away.

I want to take it to ltos of places when its done. I jsut ened a way of transporting it!
