I drove a Kia C'eed SW the other day for a test drive, this is a brand new demonstrator vehicle mind, and first and second were difficult to engage, it felt like there wasn't enough space in the gearbox to allow the lever free travel between first, neutral and second, no wonder there's so many complaints about the gearboxes on the Internet, and shoddy service from dealers, they obviously believed the salesman when he stated that it had to be a 'positive' gear change, and bought the car, mugs!

All cars are decent enough. Not Korean! My Gramps is on his 4th Kia now. Hes had 2x Fuel pumps blow up on 2 other CRDi Kias & the Pumps are excluded from warranty & his last Carens's gearbox was getting ready to die after just 23,000 miles! None of his Kias have ever lasted through a warranty without something blowing up or dying! Daewoo & Ssang Yong are the only ones that are ok. The Nubira/Tacuma have Vauxhall ZN18xe/20he engines & Mussos have indestructible Merc OM617 Diesel engines.

it's not a mistake mate, these days all cars are decent enough and Kia come with a good long warranty. I would be as happy to buy Kia as I would VW or Audi or anything. chill out man.
