The Stanford All-Girls Fusion dance to a diwali mix in their annual Festival of Lights performance, featuring the songs Babuji, Barso Re, and Aaja Nachle. Dancers include Shruti Challa, Salima Mavani, Sanjana Tandon, Shinjini Kundu, Purnima Ghale, Pooja Bakhai, Nisha Vasavada, Laurel Wagstaff, Kyla Barr, and Juliann Ma. They learned the dance over a few short weeks, with only a couple 11 p.m. practices; and half of them have never danced before. Great job, ladies!
Apologies to those who want to see the rest of the dance (Part 2). It was taken off Youtube because the Yash Raj Films company believes that there was copyright infringement, which is an inaccurate assessment, because all costumes and choreography are unique to the group. THERE IS NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. Enjoy Part 1!

I am a mom of one of the dancers. I usually do videotaping for my daughter's performance. I thought it would be easier for all the girls to watch themselves online, so I uploaded it on Youtube. Several days later, I received a removed message from Youtube as a result of a third-party notification by Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd. claiming that this material is infringing. This message still puzzles me. As far as I know this dance was designed by the girls themselves. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
