How long have you been playing violin?
And may i ask if you've taken private lesson? Because i've heard that it's really hard and in the first several years or so in taking violin lessons, you only master 3rd up to 5th position. & there are 15 positions! So I'm wondering, if that is true?

@musicindisguise I've been playing for 2/3 years & yes it's true that you will only get up to 3rd & 5th pieces, however the vast majority of violin pieces only go so high on the fingerboard so all the 15 positions are not super important for you to learn. Generally only the truly virtuosic pieces use all the positions & it will take you a while to learn those ;) Personally I found the violin pretty easy but it really depends on how much practice you do!
