1968 428 Cobra Jet Mustang

My dad's 1968 1/2 428 Cobra Jet Mustang. Right now it has a 92 302 roller engine, B303 CAM, Ford Motorsport Intake, Ford Racing Valve Covers 3-50 Traction Loc, 9-inch Top Loader 4-Speed , and Flowmaster Exhaust. We have the 428 Engine on a stand ready to be built.

Also, i take it the car has a 302 Windsor engine? Tbh, I'd just keep it in and stroke it to 331-347 cubic inches. Slap on new heads and (maybe) shelby headers, and you could probably get the same power output as the 428 for a lot less weight (and go a lot faster).

Yes we do. The 428 is on an engine stand ready to be built. I just gotta get out of college before my dad can afford it!

@KBlink89 You know the 428 is of the fe type also 330,352,390, 390gt,410p,406back in 62 came with two carb,shad over 400hp,427 and then 428All fe eng. And the 390 gt did have 330 hp i know i had one They all starved for oil that is the fe eng . Steve mcqueen Made good of the 390 gt in the move,s
