y'know, the only reason they made sonic unable to swim was because at the time it was believed hedgehogs couldn't swim, but if he's so fast can't he just run on water like we've seen him do before?

I just realized Adventure Time stole this, making an episode about overcoming one's fears and starting off with showing the ocean, not to mention the aquaphobia involved

@ShugoShugopower2 yeah i know that yuji naka(sonic's creator) didn't know hedgehogs can swim, but i mean i thought those ''hedgehogs'' are same with the human so they can get out of water, that's what i mean.

In the games Sonic can go underwater & kill Eggman's robots but in every series Sonic can't swim! What is up with this?!?!?!?

Something tells me that the color of thier skin indicates thier fear's color like sonic afraid of water commonly water is blue
