A tribute to Austin's hometown heroes, Mueller's street names honor a diverse cross-section of Austin leaders and legends. With so many important figures soon to be emblazoned on the street signs within the community and several streets already open, the Mueller Team hosted "Celebrating Austin Leaders and Legends" on August 8, 2007 to recognize the many individuals who will forever be a part of Mueller. Neighbors, future residents and friends of the community joined Catellus, the City and the families of the honorees for the ceremony.

The ambitious project to redevelop Robert Mueller Municipal Airport into a mixed-use urban village in the heart of the city has helped Austin create new models and chart new directions. The Mueller vision combines well-planned sustainable land use that meets civic goals and needs with economic development and value for the private sector.
The 711-acre Mueller site, vacated when Austin's airport relocated in 1999, will upon the project's completion become home to 10,000 residents and 10,000 jobs, more than 1,000 units of affordable housing, well over 100 acres of public open space, and other community amenities, along with a Town Center and other employment and entertainment districts contributing to urban vitality and prosperity.
