Her resignation followed a rightwing campaign that painted her as an educator with a militant Islamic agenda. In a Democracy Now! exclusive, Debbie Almontaser joins us in her first national broadcast interview since stepping down and suing the city.

@Marbo2U If anyone preaching seperation and hate should be stopped regardless of muslim or not. I am aware there are some people like that. but there are people like that in both side. Unfortunatly media is only intrested in "muslim problems". I bet you heard about al Qeda often, but you ever heard about "Lords Army"? It is a handfull of people out of billions. all I am asking of my non muslim brothers and sisters is to not judge whole religion by the actions of few.

@Marbo2U Now about church in Mecca. Ever been to middle east? I bet you havent. there are lots of churchs and synagoges in middle east, even in Iran. yes there is no church in mecca but there i no non muslims in mecca aswell. I am sure there is no mosque in vatican. mecca is vatican of muslims. wanting to build a church there is not reasonable. and on a final not all muslims already agree that Jesus is the Massiah

There already is a backlash in Europe over Muslims, because they are not assimilating, for example, many Turkish people have there own laws and agenda in Europe and are building mosques that preach separation from the host country. Multiculturism has not worked. How about a Catholic Church in Mecca? It won't happen because Muslims don't allow Christians to build churches in their countries! Muslims need to stop the madness and recognize that Jesus in the Messiah. Wise up Muslim woman!
