@mdemenok - exactly, every tax payer pays for the roads and is entitled to use them as they are designed, especially the ones permitted by law for use by bicycles. The absence of a bike lane does not discount a road from use by cyclists. A fact easily verifiable by local law enforcement and DMV offices. Ones opinions of how roads should be used and who should be using those roads don't always correspond to how those roads may in fact be used according to a municipalities DOT.

@danfoz There is no such thing as road tax. None of the money given to any of the road authorities goes to building the roads. All the money spend on building and maintaining the roads comes out of general taxes, so every tax payer pays for the roads.
