Fun fact 3 kW = 3,000 W. At $4.00/W a 3 kW slrpnl would cost around 3,000 W * $4.00/W = $12,000, not $300-$500 Also, using price per unit power is a sensible means of comparing solar cell technologies from a number of economic standpoints. But it does not reflect the price of production, with respect to the complains about how a nanotechnological cell could be more expensive. But they should be more expensive anyway, since controlling production of quantum dots, etc is very expensive.
