Ascending techniques

I would tied a prusik knot and clipped it into the leg loop. Doing so and locking the rope in the prusik would free up both my hands for removing the ascenders. Using a prusik connection to your leg loop while rapelling is essential. If your rope get tangled or pigtailed during descending it's always nice to have to hands for the job at hand. Other than that, this is a ok demo, and adding the comments below in a new demo, would make it perfect.

so many mistakes in this video. 1) only one point of contac with rope. ALWAYS USE TWO. 2)you might lose your blue ascender by not having it connected to your harness. 3) you might lose your eight figure when connecting to rope. first put rope in it, while having it connected to your harness, then you can place it in haul. 4)lock your eight figure before removing ascender. 5) remove yellow ascender at last, just before you start descending... hope this can help you.. safety first!

Awesome! This inspires me to work toward doing this.

Great tutorial!

Another helpful cheap trick : hang a load (backpack, rock, dead beaver or fellow climber, whatever...) to the end of the rope so the lower ascender or prusik can slide easier without having to use the second hand to pull the rope.

Nice video...
I would have taken off the blue ascender first so the gold one could have protected you for a little while longer. Also as Camobob noted, you only had one point of contact with rope the whole time!

good demo except that he only has one point of contact with the rope. The leg ascender needs to be teathered to the seat harness.
