@Reggmail Hello Andywillow 1989, the hissing problem was prevalent I believe on some earlier models and was supposed to have been fixed on the last update. If your using XP, or Windows Pro 7, in XP mode along with the latest
-
@Reggmail do you know what the fix for the hissing is? i read some of your comments on a forum after a google search. Havnt been able to find out if they fixed the hissing or not, just purchased a second hand zero 8 and now im nervous when it arrives it will be littered with problems :(

No Windows 7 or Vista 64, Korg have not updated Zero 4/8 in three years.
Shame on Korg.

zero4 sounds amazing! and controls are pretty smooth and good. It can be left on for many hours. It doesn't heat up much. Just a bit warm. I have stereo from PC to zero4. Listening to it on audiophile headphones and both krk monitors, sounds pretty clean. Not perfection but pretty close. I thnk there's a slight hiss as mentioned, that's only when nothing is playing.
I had the choice between djm800 and zero4, and I just went with zero4 cuz of sale price at the moment.

I've seen this thing has 2 firewire ports on the back, does that mean its possible to run 2 laptops into it on 2 channels?

I'm laughing at the overpriced comments. In my opinion, this is perhaps the best four channel mixer for this given price point.
Look at it this way, guys. You're getting a 5 channel mixer, sound card, and MIDI interface all for around $1,200.00 bucks.
