The reason is that the tires on the Zamboni are studded and it is all in the way you drive also. Hope this helps

Dan i never thought i could watch a Zamboni drive around on an ice rink for 10 minutes, but you got me to do it. That itself is something to be proud of. Lol. You're pretty lucky though, you're getting payed to do something you love.

Anyway here is a question, I saw a recent video I think was called Ice skating cars showing sliding cars on a ice covered steet.
Why dosen't the zamboni slide around like a car on ice ?
