An exclusive interview with percussionist, Max Roach. This interview was done by Visual artist, Jomo Cheatham in chicago, Illinois in 30 May 1993. In this part Max speaks about Public Education, Rap Music and Black Americans Creativity. Max was appearing in Chicago at the Jazz Showcase, which was located in the Blackstone Hotel and has since moved. This interview is about an hour long but has been edited into several episodes. Max Roach made his transition on 16 August 2007.

  • I dig Max Roach. But it's very well known that Trane went to Conservatory's to study some theory. Also, Bird wanted to study classical in a Conservatory.
