  • Nicely done, Peter. It's very helpful to get inside the head of a good player and discover the thought processes. Thank you.

  • Sorry, I mean: "Imagine that EAST has Q-x in diamonds and K-x-x-x in clubs."

  • OK, now imagine that West has Q-x in diamonds and K-x-x-x in clubs. How could you avoid the wrong finesse in diamonds without that “expose” squeeze? And for the squeeze it’s necessary the clubs to be guarded by West. So when South cashes the last trump, West must discard a diamond. Finally the declarer will be sure that the queen of diamonds would drop the right.

  • Don't know what's worst in this. First the bidding. 4C is obvious over 3S. Just driving to slam is non-winning bridge. Second, covering with the Club Queen is a zero-play. And he could easily avoid possible overruffs, ruffing high here and there.

Dear soupman55 - are you ready for a high-stake rubber?

  • @mberanek1 that man isan idiot.... poland

  • just dont put in the queen of clubs and the king will fall on ur last ruff..

  • well done, peter, indeed

  • wow this some stuff here

  • You squeezed him! I didn't know how this was going to work, but it did...

  • well done, Peter, is right!...
