When my son, Marcos was a little tike, he loved to play with a pair of foam nunchucks which I had bought for him. He would watch me use mine and then with a big smile on his face he would imitate me. I also had a couple of videos on martial arts that we would watch together, then all the Martial Arts movies came with time. The Legendary and Honorable Mr. Chuck Norris was constantly on our television screen as it has been for a great part of my life. now Mr. Norris inspires another generation which continues his dedication to helping make the world a better place for mankind; my gratitude to you for being one of my son's heros. Today one of 150 students recieved belts at an awards ceremony. The ceremony was conducted my The Honorable, Master W. Nguyen and his TEAM of martial arts instructors at Edison Middle School in Houston, Texas.
My son Marcos, recieved his purple belt and is one of the members of the demonstration team which earned second place at a recent city competition in Houston. One of Marcos; best friends and fellow XBox 360 enthusiast, Adam (standing right), also recieved his purple belt which he so proudly earned.
Not only am I proud of my son, but I am happy for him. Congratulations to all the students from Edison Middle School who are participating in such a positive endeavor in life at such a young age.
Thank you for watching this video. Please rate and leave comments. These videos are posted here honoring all the students of Master W. Nguyen's
"TEAM". It is important that we encourage our youth to believe in themselves, set high goals for themselves and to reach for the stars.
On behalf of my son Marcos,, (the one with the full head of curls), his Mother Liz and his sister Gabby who give so much of themselves to helping make Marcos dreams a reality. Thank you.
"I love you and I am so proud of you Marcos!"
