I knew I had a keeper a long time ago but it was confirmed for me again when she told me she was just as interested in a Moissanite stone instead of a diamond when I put a ring on her finger. Gentleman, the ones worth keeping are the ones who understand you aren't made of money and that just because something is "traditional" (read: costs a hundred times it's inherent value) that doesn't make it the best option.
Besides, that fire from Moissanite is just awesome.

I'd rather have Moissanite, it'll be easy on my man's wallet, has more brilliance, fire, and luster than an actual diamond. AND its from space :) oh yeah

Yeah, diamond experts have absolutley no clue its not a real diamond. But newly wed wives can spot it with the naked eye. o.O

Moisannite is not a fake of a diamond..Its its own gem..

@Zlamzambo Exactly! I'm one of many moissanite lovers who would get a true moissanite and be proud of it! No way I'm going to get it to fool people or faking a diamond. Diamonds suck!

what's with women still insisting that their man buy a diamond? Don't prostitute yourselves ladies! If you want a diamond buy it yourself... or go splits at least.
-
I think it's beautiful. I would wear that over a blood diamond any day.

Calling it a fake is misleading. We don't call Hyundai's fake Porsches. Moissanite is simply not a diamond and a diamond is not moissanite. That 20/20 keeps calling it a fake, all the women claimed they didn't want "fake" and that all THREE woman could spot the difference, smells a bit suspect to me. No, women don't want fake rings. If they knew the facts of Moissanite, they may want it instead of diamonds. I know many newly weds that really could benefit from not spending so much on a ring.

I have a 2ct Moissanite and it never looks dull in any light. I refuse to own a diamond. I don't think they are that special. Plus, I am not about to spend the price of a car on a stone.

So there is now synthetic Moissanite... I tried on a real one, and believe me I could not tell the difference. The brilliance matched the price for 1ct it was a grand. They are 9.5 on the hardness scale. Moissanite is a gem, just like Rubies or Emeralds it just looks like a diamond
Moisannite has more fire, brilliance and luster than a diamond. It is more heat resistant and almost as hard. I prefer a moissanite over a diamond any day.

Moissanite looks better, if not for ethical reasons along. I would not marry someone shallow enough to insist on a blood diamond.
