Reminds me of a phrase a coach said to me when I was young -
' The difference between Gymnasts and Ballerinas is that Ballerinas have necks '
-
@chinghxd No different than competing with Kupets and McCool, I imagine. But Shayla has contributed very little to the team's success or lack thereof. She's usually the one fucking up now. She wouldn't be able to handle another round of elite, I guarantee. Especially since they changed the COP again and her skill sets wouldn't be very competitive.

@PekoeDeLaRosa666 very well said, and i could not agree more

@96horseluvr probably not recognized
-
@eeffiieejj totally agree

@PekoeDeLaRosa666 lol why not since international scoring is so confusing lol..then you will have a bunch of college girls trying to hurt themselves doing crazy stunts..theres a reason these two women are not competing internationally anymore..not because they suck but because the scoring system internationally wears and tears on your body.

how come she doesn't do the worley in this routine?
-
And now she's walking down the beam while moving arms...
-
what was with the zooming in? i dont want to see her face(though shes got a nice one), i want to see what tricks shes doing!

@PekoeDeLaRosa666 I disagree, because men peak when they are around the age of 22, after college. Women peak when they are 16, so by the time they reach college their bodies can't handle it so well anymore.. look at Shayla, she was elite for 6 years or so, and is constantly injured now...
They can downgrade some of the skills though, the Yurchenko full vault for example..
Katie Heenan's ensemble is not flattering.

Two very nice routines, but also great examples of how broken the scoring is for NCAA women's gymnastics. The AVERAGE score for the top teams is 9.8 or higher. Thus routines with several tiny deductions are left with 9.9+. This leaves no room to reward the truly exceptional. The NCAA men have gone to international scoring. It is time for the women to follow.
