I have a question....who surpasses S & G as a duo........no one
-
I always felt that the big beginning "half of the time we're gone" was such a hook that it should've been repeated more times in this song. Those few seconds are better than just about any top 40 clip in the past few years.

@BigJohnWoody i always have tought just the same, that there was missing a huge last one that would feel like an explosion of pure and awesome music

@JettRink50 ... Dude that's crap... sorry for you!

Peeps, have you noticed, or at least I have, that my most favorite songs written and are sung by the sexiest guys on the planet: Jewish guys! #1- Neil Diamond, #2, Simon and Garfunkel, #3 - the list goes on... WHEW! I ADORE THEIR MUSIC!!!
-
Garfunkel, is irreplaceable, his big nose, gives him impeccable harmony and tones.
Two Thumbs up for the both of them. They sure beat the sheet out of todays
krap puke monkey vomit music ..

I wish I had heard of that tour. I really got back into listening to them in 2008.
I can't believe I bought $5,000 worth of tickets for last years supposed tour but I
thought they might never come my way again. And there was no tour.

@BlueAndWhiteZebra Your very welcome and thanks for posting this up. (:

I don't usually like live perfomances because they sometimes lack the soul or perfection of the original studio recording, but this was TERRIFIC!! Besides the minor imperfections of this live performance, Paul still managed to do his "magnum opus" JUSTICE!! And the harmonies...Ahh...there's no other word to describe them other than "ANGELIC!!" They've still got it!! |Tom & Jerry| |Art & Paul| |Simon and Garfunkel| Three different ways to describe the Gods of Harmony. Absolutely EXQUISITE!!!

Gee, I sure am glad you had that nice Olympus 770 with you! Too dern bad you didn't have a monopod to set it on!!! Were you crocked at the time, cause your camera work makes me dizzy!
But it is still one of my all-time favorite PS songs, and your audio was quite good, so thanks for that much.

Thanks. You have a point but in fairness, it is just a small camera and I was there to enjoy the concert as such, and not to officially film it. You can however buy a DVD of this tour and see this song performed with perfect camera work. It's called the Old Friends DVD and was recorded during the US part of the tour. It is perfect. This is only to give you a taster so I urge you to support the artist and buy the official, perfect DVD. It's brilliant!
