Bush did spend too much, agreed. However, the new president has a deficit 4 times greater than Bush's. What needs to happen is some restraint on government spending.

Indomitable4All - just whom do you think "the Government" is? It's a group of people - that's all. You are attributing God-like knowledge to them. Are you THAT afraid to realize that people in power, unchecked, will enslave us? Nearly every Founding Father (since you SO respect the government's judgment) feared too much government power. Hamilton, the main proponent of a centralized government, distrusted the people as an ignorant mob. Why is distrust, then, so foreign to you? Wise up!
