If that's what the press in a democracy does, we're not going to win any wars against dictators, he says. That's as close as you usually hear someone get to saying straight out that they don't want democracy.
Mostly you banged on about how the anti-war movement hadn't got any press, a sort of liberal mirror image to the AIM message about how bad things shouldn't have appeared in the press. I wish you had talked (or gotten a chance to?) about the disgusting immorality of the whole thing.
