Sanday Light Railway, Orkney Isles Part 3. Sanday Central to Heggliber

Six years into building SLR with full council support and planning permission, Orkney Islands Council 'The established Sanday Light Railway', and the new station 'Sanday Central' where visitors could 'Park & Ride' was tested prior to the official opening by Master Of the Queens Music & island resident Sir Peter Maxwell Davies with full tv promotion. An early steam and passenger stock test train with 'Top Link' passed ,driver Josh,as he leaves 'Sanday Central and runs on the first part of the line as he collects the token and eases the train into the climb round the curve and over Orkneys only level crossing.... A difficult start for any driver especially with a full train. ( See opening ceromony.) 2006
