The Implantable Miniature Telescope (IMT), is an investigative
device developed for patients with end-stage age-related macular degeneration.
The initial studies were developed in Belo Horizonte. The first International Course on IMT was held by Dr. Ricardo Guimaraes and Dr. Isaac Lipshitz in 2002
It has just been aproved by the FDA last July
