I can't stand Rick Dees... one of the most contrived and plastic people ever churned out of Hollywood. Roy Thinnes is a man of distinction and handled this humdrum pedestrian interview very well, actually turning it into something entertaining... all the while, making Rick look even more ridiculous by comparison.

Such eloquent syntax; and not to mention, a showman like pining for attention; all the while ignoring the fact that you're envious that you never made it in show business.

The interviewer is a douche, no class even 20 years ago. Roy is the polar opposite. I was especially interested when he talks about his real life UFO sighting. He talks about it on the Invaders DVD interview also, and he discusses how one of the creators of the show had experiences of many UFO's following his bomber squadron when they were flying over Italy during WW2, which really opened Roy's mind to the subject.

Agree. Rick Dees show didn't last long. He personifies Hollywood phoniness and plastic. He is an odd, empty suit. I loved "The Invaders." I wish they would have talked more about it. Maybe ask Roy about his favorite episodes and guest stars. Also they should have asked Roy about his big break. He was 1 of the first cast members of "General Hospital" in the early 1960s. Thanks for posting this.

SR-71 taking off to spy on N Vietnam around 1968 more than likely. Rick Dees is a touchy feely closet type.

Roy could have stopped that horse by putting $20 on him.

Gosh, I wish I was there in person as this interview took place. I would have loved to have seen someone punch that ass Rick Dees in the face...LIVE!

Great interview Roy, the interviewer was a little odd though.
