Google [rockslide "Route 99" "Sea-to-Sky Highway" Squamish]. There are updates, the rockslide was not related to the highway improvements and the road closure was short-lived.
Sure the views are amazing! AND there are NO guardrails or safety features along the route!
I recommend the McDonald's in Squamish as a pitstop, which is about half-way from The 'Couv to Whistler.
They take several currencies for payment.

Did you hear about the rockslide that closed the Route 99 (Sea-to-Sky Highway) today south of Squamish? It will be at least 5 days until the road opens again.
