how do you take the top thing with out damaging them

I discovered this too, using tin cans, like from hair products. But found they took too long to prime, once made into alcohol stoves. I use aluminum all the time, now.

are they galvanized in the can??

really interesting. didnt knew the thing with the bags inside. Thx for sharing!! And ah subbed ;)

I did not know what was inside some of these aluminum cans. A real surprise.

I never knew any of this - amazing. I would pop the spray nozzle off, drill through the valve and start hacking away. Might be the reason why I never successfully made my own aluminum bottle alcohol stoves. That's why I leave it up to friends and buy them. Thanks for sharing that Jim!

Nice video Jim, I have a couple of sunscreen bottles saved for future projects but I've never taken one apart yet.

@DrunknShooter Hopefully the ones you have will be as simple to empty as the ones I’ve been using.

Good video thanks. Any idea where the cheapest place to get the aluminum bottles is?

@digitizer101 So far... the cheapest I've found are those $1 bottles of hair remover I get from my local dollar store. I'm sure there are other products in the same bottles, maybe even some I could actually use :-). Check out your local dollar store and see what they have.

@neoarchangel03 You're welcome. Read the other comments. Not all bottles are made like the ones I use but... they do come apart the same so, be careful with the first couple of bottles, peel them back slow.
