westwood studios was the first one to release a rts in 1997
they called it command and conquer and it was such a succes that many companies went over to that genre.
after westwood created a few more impressive games EA games bought westwood and westwood employees now worked for EA.
though after releasing a few games which weren't that great, westwood employees left EA games and started a new company.
EA went on with creating rts games some were great others weren't
with C&C 4 being released in march 2011 the C&C series was destroyed
rts wasn't the case anymore and the epic conclusion of a 10 year saga was destroyed
now with renegade X coming EA games wants to bring the command and conquer series back to the level of popularity when westwood was still making them.
i hope they will succeed because the command and conquer series were great games buth C&C 4 is the worst ending ever.
