Gambler playing Missing You at the Bear And Ragged Staff. Class tone as always from Jerry who once again makes it look all too easy. Not a complicated song to play per se but he still manages to give it a good sound with a nice strat guitat sound and a little synth mix. A good live cut I think and an original ending to the song which is needed as the original version like so many songs fades out so you need a good ending. As I have been told by a fellow Gambler fan, their days are numbered as regards playing at the Bear and Ragged Staff so I guess the clips I am sending are collectors items. I can't believe I am the only one who has ever filmed Gambler playing so if there are any other of you guys out there that captured them on film for a few songs why not treat us fans and load them onto youtube, I have one more to load which is Wishing Well. Hope you enjoy this and I was surprised to see my Life in the Fast Lane clip has made it to Barry's mag and can be seen when you click on Jerry Stevenson on the Gambler MK 1 icon. Come on Jerry you must have some clips of you guys playing. Load 'em up!!
Kind Rgds from Trevor in Chile the Southern Cone Gambler Fan Rep!!
the band with Geoff Whitehorn on lead still playing at the "Bear" on Thursday nights.
I was there to see them on 31st March 2011. An insider tells me they receive £200 per gig between 4 musicians for a 2 hour gig with 20 minute break. My mate Bob makes a collection average of £120 for beer money for the guys. They just love to play good solid music. What a treat to see such a good band.
The audience is made up of fans and fellow musicians. There is small dancefloor space if you feel in the mood.
