This is the 1st movement of the Sonata in G minor by Henry Eccles.

I am moving to London and I thought it would be great to do an english piece.

I have tuned to A415 so if you have perfect pitch be aware :)

I love the way Edgar Meyer plays this, I also saw Gary Karr play it when I studied with him.I loved the way he did his second time improvs. I have tried to make it stylistcly correct but with some close bridge playing when it is needed. Sorry if you cant see much of my bow there were not enough cameras.

This piece enjoyed such a romantic revival that I thought it would be cool to take it back to its roots.

I hope you enjoy.

  • Beautiful! Thank you! I played this on sax, but I look to the strings to develop my sound, especially cello and bass

  • fantastic!

  • Choice bro! Sweet sound, it's all just the Bernadel though right?
